With a decorated career spanning over two decades, including a No. 1 reggae album on Billboard with his previous band, Indubious, and over 10.5 million streams across his combined musical catalog, the Oregon native launched Heaven Zest after almost losing his life in 2024. Born with cystic fibrosis and told he would not survive into adulthood, Heaven Zest, born Evan Burton, has survived two double-lung transplants and spent years of his life in hospital rooms.

He recalls, “I was so incredibly sick that I was preparing to leave this world, my family, and everything that I knew behind. I received my new lungs in the final hour, saving my life. That evening, I was visited by a loving presence that told me this was all part of the plan: to finally rid me of the fear that has been holding me back so I can fulfill my purpose. It gave me the name Heaven Zest.”

With a new lease on life, Heaven Zest is dedicated to sharing his story, his message, and his boldly unique music, which he describes as “reggae-flavored electro hip-hop medicine music with a twist of lemon.”
